Fees and funding
We offer flexible, high-quality childcare with a range of funding options, competitive fees, and discounts for University of St Andrews staff, students, and eligible families.
Funded Early Learning and Childcare
The University of St Andrews Nursery is a registered partner provider with Fife Council.
All children aged 3 to 5 years are entitled to 1,140 hours of funded early learning and childcare per year, funded by the Scottish Government. This is approximately 30 hours per week during term time.
Parents can:
- Use their funded entitlement at the nursery
- Purchase additional childcare hours beyond their funded allocation
- Arrange a split placement across two approved childcare settings
The nursery operates year-round, and invoices are issued for any additional hours purchased beyond funded entitlement.
For more information on funded childcare, visit the Fife Council website.
